I am booked (through Qantas) to travel Sydney - Dallas - Newark. First leg Qantas (business sale), second leg is American Airlines.

I note that I appears to have been given economy for the AA flight. I can't find anywhere to request upgrade on that flight. I would be happy to pay.

Does anyone know how I can try and get an upgrade on the Dallas-Newark AA flight?

Thanks for that info, @eminere !

Looks like not eligible (not sure why). Maybe I can try at the lounge before ... but not looking good! :(
Did you look in the QF or AA app?

QF will say “Ineligible”, because it’s not their flight.

The AA app (you’ll need the AA PNR - usually shown when going thru seat selection), might give the option for a paid upgrade.

I’m surprised you were booked into whY. Does the connecting flight have a QF codeshare or AA flight number?

Thanks, @SYD .

Tried through the AA website and app (couldn't even locate upgrade section/details). I'm currently waiting to speak to assistant through chatbox - which is currently estimating a 2 hour wait time!

I was very surprised it booked me in economy as well, actually. I would have paid extra for a business seat. The AA flight appears to only have an AA flightcode - AA 618.
