Qantas Autonomous Wheelchair Trial

Saw two today in T1 MEL taking themselves somewhere !
Yes, I saw one on arrival at MEL T1 last Thu. It could have been heading to my flight (empty of PAX).

I regret not taking a video and posting here but I was in the WTAF is that mode until it passed by and realised it wasn’t a runaway! 😂

If your in MEL soon, jump in one and test it out.

There is still a guy in MEL T1 doing/holding the remote.
For now, its testing still.
If you watch carefully, you will see a man following behind, with a remote control sort of thing.
And yes, it will make a musical tone.
I guess when the testing is done, it can move by itself back to its charging station, near the chocolate shop.

As that cannot get onto the plane, so the person using it, must be still able to walk a bit from plane seat, to plane door, to get onto the thingo.
