Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

April year End - SC rollover counts towards retaining and attaining
Just to clarify in relation to the LTG query, the bonus rollover credits don’t count toward that. They do of course count to retaining in the new status year, or attaining the next rung in that year.

What will the Status Credits that are rolled over contribute towards?
The Status Credits rolled over will contribute towards attaining and retaining status for Platinum One, Platinum, Gold and Silver. They won’t contribute towards any bonus Rewards, Lifetime Status or Status Accelerators.

With posting of DSC I would be Platinum by 30 April. Would I be correct in expecting higher rollover?

Yes but you'll need to call:

Does the rollover count towards LTG? I assumed not
No, only the very first tranche of status support back in 2020/21 counted for Lifetime. SC Boost I think it was, everything rollover since has not counted.

April year End - SC rollover counts towards retaining and attaining but NOT Loyalty Bonus (as expected).

No it doesn't, weirdly they’ve just adjusted down the total from the previous year. It appears like it does, but it doesn’t.

I’m sadly very certain of this, because I was about 7 SCs from LTS at year end, so knew what my count was at the time. The total didn’t change, but the previous year/this year totals had been adjusted to make it look correct.

I have earned 254 this year (some DSC not yet posted), yet it says I’ve earned 754. The total is correct, but I was on 6,993 as of 28/2, not 6,493. The counter is of course ignoring PC+ rollover, but they are included in my YTD towards requalification.

Yes - I had the same, last year; the rollover amount from the prior year was subtracted from the dial and then added back in as a current year contribution towards LTG. Net zero impact... but I reckon an odd way to present it

Did anyone have an joy using the domestic business lounge passes (a particularly interested in at SYD and PER)?

Now that Im WP I know I can guest 2 into Dom J lounge, but will be travelling with 3 non status family members, so was going to use those 2 freebies dom J passes for 1 and guest the other two.

But earlier posts seemed to indicate you get directed to the QPub. And I really would prefer Pizza in PER.

Perth for a long while had one or the other Clubs open.

I'd not ever experienced a knockback at Perth's J pizza place...

Sydney, is that where the re-direction occurred? the J lounge there notoriously overloaded with single travellers taking up two or more seats.....

Know of success using one in CBR. PER QP seems to be open weekdays these days, but on a recent Saturday, everyone was directed to the J lounge (breakfast time)

Not for SYD-PER @Lynda2475 but used ours at MEL J last year, though Lounge "angel" insisted we head to QP.
Took showing her the email for us to be granted permission to cross her threshold!

Having skimmed this thread - am I correct to assume I'm not the only WP who hasn't seen any apology points hit their balance yet?

I've been following up these 30k points with the call centre, on and off, for the past six months.

QF tells me I didn't register before the cut off date (30 September). This could be true, I honestly don't remember.

However I do have the email with the associated $50 voucher in my inbox on 24 August. This led me to believe that I did register before the cut-off date.

QF tells me that the $50 flight voucher was sent to everyone and that if I'd registered in time I'd have received a confirmation email that says this explicitly.

Does anyone recall if they received this confirmation email?

It's entirely possible I forgot to register. I don't need the 30k points, but I hate feeling like I'm being taken for a ride, so I'll keep bugging the call centre if need be.

No... and in fact, they specifically stated in the notes of the acceptance page that people wouldn't get an e-mail... and so this could possibly be in your favour as there is a reference to the flight promo code below it, but it's not as clear that this required the same acceptance action; it was claimed separately via the app.

Cheers.,
Matt.

Ah interesting, thanks.

If there was two different registrations required - one for the points via the email, and one for the voucher via the app - then I'll give QF the benefit of the doubt.

And not surprising that there is inconsistency between the T&Cs and the call centre!
