a bit late on the scene here ... finally got around to processing the offer, which we may or may not use, but at least may be able to give away some lounge passes.

I am LTS and my wife silver for the moment. Our offer was $50 + a couple of lounge invitations.
first, the offer worked fine on my wife's phone / app, but was not appearing on my app.
Lesson #1 - you need the latest version of the app (& it was not telling me it needed update). Once I updated I got the offer.
Lesson #2 - I (maybe foolishly) ignored the suggestion to screenshot the voucher numbers - no email yet, and no indication in the QFF account. mmmm do these emails turn up ??

Not entirely sure, but what I think are the new lounge invites in both our accounts have expiry dates of 23 January, which seems rather soon compared to others mentioned above.

have others had the same experience ?

Ah yes - just throw some point and a few $.

But What I want to know is what is QF doing with the customer service situation and the poor delay and cancellations performance.
$ or points are of no use to me if I don't have confidence in the operation.
I can't see any of those things changing in a hurry in the current climate.

For now I'd take any status extension as my time as Platinum is coming to an end.

Are these transferable? Until someone tries we won't know for sure but we do know that Qantas Hotel vouchers are transferable.
No idea, but guessing they are like a voucher code that anyone can use.

So if anyone would like to use mine, go for it – send me a direct message here and I'll send you the code. You can try it out if you'd like $50 off your next booking?

"...which equates to many millions in discounts,” adds Mr Joyce.

I would be really interested to understand what they mean by "more FF seats". I'm searching and there is not a single business class award seat to Europe between now and June 23. Does anyone know if they will be issuing more award seats anytime?

I'm wanting to travel in May next year and couldn't find any award availability, so checked the other months for interest, and nothing at all. If its not likely there will be any such award seats made available for May at any time, then I will look to book paid flights while the fares are still quite reasonable.
Mentioned in a post many pages back but AJ had a little superscript '3' right after the '50% more reward seats' misleading statement.

The footnote corresponding to # 3 stated that rewards seats may be up to 50% more for a flight. Equally they can be 100% less as the footnote is worded.

Another enhancement proudly brought to you by the $109 million man.

Has anyone contacted QFF regarding not recieving the promised apology points? What email address did you use ([email protected]?) and if you were successful what did you state in the email?

I've seen some comments that those with Gold have already received their Domestic Business Lounge invites which were meant to be distributed as part of this Qantas apology. I keep checking and mine still only show the standard "general" invites I've received from CC's. Has anyone else received their passes (or not)?
Did you receive an email saying you would be offered the passes and to click on a link to accept the offer by 30 September?

WP, no email or points... Called up 2 weeks ago they said they would try resend the email.
Anyone else in the same boat?
You only get the email with the invitation link to accept the offer of points if you are subscribed to receive "latest flight specials, news and updates" in your profile.

Poor Qantas
Four Corners report this Monday past damning upon many other damning reports throughout media
This fluff n waffle by Joycie n his overpaid gang of "execs" is like their Accor Gold - all words, no action. As with banking, ditch the b----- and make the switch to VA

Nope, I'm subscribed and receive endless cough from QF, everything except this one email I actually want to receive.

I got screwed, I am 30 June date so missed this offer by one month and now I get nothing. If Qantas was really being generous they would apply it to all members not just a lucky few so this wasn't just a PR STUNT. Typical JOYCE!!!
I agree but this is not something new nor limited to Qantas loyalty program.

There will always be some who benefit from offers/promotions and others just as loyal that do not benefit. I don't agree with it but don't think it's ever going to change.

Just received the email from QF. As a WP they're buying my love with 30k FF points.

Edit: Interesting to see they're offering different amounts to different people on the same level. More goodwill for those who feel screwed :(
I've only just opened email. I was offered 15000 QFF points.

Would have been interesting to see the criteria used for the points offered.
