Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

You should have an email confirming the 15 or 30k pts. There was a link you must click to accept the points. Completely seperate to the voucher.

They’re crediting as “In the air” points (capped at 20k)….

So let me get this straight.

Am I right in saying that I don't qualify for 15k/30k points or the $50 voucher because I live in London?

Never mind the fact that I qualified for Platinum and took 16 flights between January-June.
Nor the fact that I almost missed my grandmother's funeral because of a delayed flight from Sydney to Brisbane.
Nor the fact that Qantas lost my luggage on the way back (thankfully I had an Apple air tag in the bag and was able to tell the assistant where it was).
Nor the fact that I already had an outstanding complaint that covers a number of issues from our first trip, spent hours on hold across a number of months trying to get a £2,000 refund that was owed to me. One of the phone bills was >£200.

So I wasn't inconvenienced by any of the issues that Joyce apologised for, simply because I don't live in Australia?

Tell me how that's fair.

FYI - 30k just dropped into account - under "others" just like the loyalty bonus get credited etc.

My 30K points arrived last night.

Straight away I checked reward flight availability for the travel I'm actually wanting to do in January but of course no classic rewards available 🙄 So I either change my plans to suit QFF, or I pay cash to an airline (not necessarily QF) to do what I want to do.

It doesn't look like any of the points have gone towards 'unlock points club' but I'm confused because the summary on the 'home' page of the QF app has different figures on it from the 'my QFF' page. Does anyone understand why they would be different?
 
Just noticed that I have received my 15,000 bonus points and happy that they count towards points club 😃
Same here, received last night.

Also the $50 voucher offer still appearing in the app. Naturally I went through the process again to see what would happen and got a message effectively saying “sorry, only one bite of the cherry”. It didn’t make the offer link go away in the app though.

Not sure accepting the offer was a great idea, I expect to get constant nag emails saying I haven’t booked and used the offer to defray their jacked-up airfares.

Some of my 15,000 points went into Points Club as ”earned in the air” as ]@SYD noted. It is now showing the maximum 20,000 points.

There appears to be a bug in the annual tally calculation when you select “Membership year”. Mine starts counting from mid July not 01 Aug.

The anomaly was flagged in this thread. Which reminds me to log a fault with QF IT. It might be fixed before I reached LTP….

My 30,000 points have come through. As for finding return J/F to LHR as a classic reward, that’s the hard part.

so I accepted the offer finally just due to membership; rollover (ugh the SC expiry! :( ) anyway for the record the offer disappeared from the app (which is fine). Amused that QF felt the need when showing the code to say "screenshot this" - like that's helpful, but honestly this is so dodgy in my view. it's like they're saying well you'll get an email soon with the code, but hey screenshot it anyway like they don't quite trust things. not a great message imo (though helpful as others have discovered!).

so I await the points and all the rest (but not with any kind of bated breath - I really don't care that much specially for the points)
