Qantas and Passbook

Friends

Would anyone know how to add the BP to your passbook after you have done the OLCI online - not through the mobile site, but the full-function site ?

I got the PDF BPs in iBook but I could not see how I could "add" them to passbook.

Log in the mobile site / app but I could not see how to do it.

? Possible

Thanks

Not possible. In fact, I couldn't even add my BPs from last week after checking in via the app.

If I have OLCI via the full site and then I want the passbook BP I "check in" again via the mobile website and request BP to be resent to my phone. The open SMS and add to passbook.

Nice in theory !

If you saw my post, it was stated there that I had tried to do so without success.

Logged onto the mobile site, saw the booking (post DOMESTIC CHECK IN), selected the flight .... and there is no OCLI button, nor any BP to be added to passbook.

Thanks

Do you use safari on the phone or the "app". I find that although the app just redirects to the mobile website for some reason i can never add the BP to passbook but if I login via Safari then i can.

Also I don't usually use the "domestic check-in" tab, I go via the "view my bookings" tab. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Not sure why you don't get the OLCI/BP option as it's never been an issue for me. (Using iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4) not helpful i know just my experience.

I followed your lines: Safari, Mobile and both (1) View Your Bookings and (2) Domestic Check In did not work.

QF IT team needs to do better, I think

A few months ago I could check in either online or via mobile and after a few hours the option to send the boarding passes to my phone would appear, so I saved them all to Passbook, but I haven't seen this option for a while. I figured it was just another unwarranted change and just went with it. I just print my BPs at an airport kiosk now.

Is it not possible to resend boarding passes to your phone anymore? :/ I remember there was an option to resend to mobile, but it's not there anymore.

Qantas also said they can't reissue a mobile boarding pass, and that I should just check in at the airport. I don't mind, but I don't understand the reasoning behind getting rid of that option (unless the reason is a failed mobile check in).

Cheers.

Not possible from what I can tell. If you OLCI through the web site you can't use mobile check in either.

That's definitely been a recent change. Passbook passes also now expire.

welcome to AFF. You'll find it very interesting and rewarding.

Thanks. I've been reading the forum, but didn't post anything until recently.

I was just interested in the option to Resend Boarding Pass. I use my QFF card anyway, but I don't see the reasoning behind removing the option (especially if there's an error during requesting).

A Qantas agent also told me it's not possible to resend an eTicket receipt (the PDF version received after the original booking) once the booking has been changed, but I found a way to do that. Going to 'Manage Your Booking' and 'Learn more" while NOT being logged into your FF account will give you the option to Request an email itinerary (on the right-hand side), which will result in the E-Ticket Itinerary & Receipt being emailed to your designated email address.

I hope this helps some other people who like to have their flight itineraries organised neatly...

Cheers!

This is a very good tip, I just did this and it seems to have updated my status on the booking (from WP to P1), so this could be a useful tip to those who change status and have issues with the status updating on their BP's... resending the e-ticket might force a chance as it creates the PDF :p
