The 2012 Annual General Meeting of Qantas Airways Limited will be held at 11:00am on Friday 2 November 2012 in the National Ballroom at Hotel Realm, 18 National Circuit, Barton, Australian Capital Territory.

There are headlines on the Reuters wire saying that $400m will be saved from an agreement with Boeing for restructuring of the 787-9 deliveries and cancellation of 35 orders.

I cannot yet find any internet source for this, or more details beyond a headline.

Quote from CEOs address which can be found on ASX or any broker.

Nothing new from what I read.
"The agreement with Boeing to restructure our Boeing 787-9 deliveries generate more than $400 million of cash from the cancellation of 35 aircraft – while bringing forward 50 options by two years to 2016"

And on the future:

To conclude, all parts of the Qantas Group are strong and profitable, with one exception – Qantas International – which we are moving at pace to fix.
Our focus now is on realising the full benefits of transformation measures and securing approval for the Emirates partnership.
As we do so, we will be maintaining our strong domestic position, continuing to expand Qantas Frequent Flyer and building Jetstar’s pan-Asian network.

And on the future:

I agree nothing new, although the line that QFi is dragging things down is getting old and I think unrealistic, last few months of traffic figures in fact show the opposite. As I posted in the playground, whats intriguing is the coincidental massive spike in VAH volume this morning, already over 10M and continuing to climb, yet the price is up.

I do like how AJ keeps talking about the young fleet, 8.3 years is group age, 10.6 is QF.

Puzzled by the confirmation that the first 787 is 2016 delivery, yet confirmed yesterday that the 767 is lasting until 2015, so how are JQ going to release the A330s back into the QF fleet without a replacement???

I think he means the 787-9s are delayed until 2016 at earliest and delivered to QF. The 767s are replaced by the A330s from JQ which are still getting their 787-8s as planned (bar any manufacturing delays) for second half next year.

Could be right, I thought he said the first 787s for JQ would be delivered in 2016 but it makes sense to be only referring to the 9s.

The 787-9s were due in 2016. The 787-8s were slated for delivery before then.

Reports were the ASA proxies were going to vote against the CEO remuneration package. Any word on how that ended? Insitutions wll typically vote for and thus carry the pakage in any event, but the vote split will be interesting....

The representative for the ASA making a comment during Q&A did show his dislike towards AJ getting any more pay than his base $2mil+. However voting has not started, it's still Q&A.

In the same way that Alan Joyce is not CEO of Qantas International, Qantas Domestic or Jetstar.
semantics my friend

Get the microphone away from the old guy ... for the sake of his own blood pressure

Well IAG is really just a holding company, so technically he is also the CEO of BA too… ;)

What is with Mr Jack Tilber(can't understand the rest of his surname) (aka the old man)

I think half this AGM has been spent with him yabbing on and on and it's too small I can't read.

And surprisingly he didn't have something to say about Garry Hounsell's re-election.

Just tuned in for his most previous question, has he been asking questions all morning?

Really regret not tuning in earlier if so! lol
