ZK-ZQE is back in service this morning from BNE operating QF123 to AKL. This makes aircraft #2 for the JetConnect fleet.

Looks like ZK-ZQF is the next aircraft to get refurbished after arriving in BNE as QF124.

Agree it looks like a straight swap of the NZ aircraft.
Still can't identify any of the remaining aircraft into SYD maint.

Yes I've sent feedback about the lack of curtain. They dont seem to care. Its a huge reduction in the j product in my opinion especially due to Y pax just waltzing through to the forward lav.

I agree. Flew CNS-MEL last week and there was a constant stream of Y pax using the forward lav which caused them to be loitering in the J aisle. FA's did nothing about it but it definitely impeded service and it was annoying that I would have to stand up and join a queue of 2-3 people to wait to use the lav since there was never a break in use that would allow me to just get up and walk in.

A pretty significant degradation of the J offering IMO and easily fixed with some sort of sash/rope across the aisle to deter interlopers.

Looks like XZG has gone into refurbishment in SYD after arriving as QF557 from BNE on the 13th of September.

Send feedback. It's the only way we can get this changed.

.... only VXM remains without personal IFE.....

Just flew up from SYD to BNE on QF554 (19th Sept)

It was very disappointing to get a plane with no individual IFE screen - does the quoted post mean I scored VXM? If that is truly the last 737 without individual IFE I obviously was unlucky - and now feel bad for complaining about it in the post-flight survey I was emailed.

In any case, the lovely staff (in the J cabin) were really nice which made up for it :)

That's interesting - flightradar had it operated by VYC. Perhaps it wasn't refurbished (the QF seat maps still have it in the old configuration).

Not sure of the date yet :) As I have just arrived and have laptop on Colombian time - anyway - it was the flight that arrived in BNE about 4 hrs ago

I think the confusion is over seatback IFE vs "personal IFE". Only one plane has neither streaming IFE or seatback IFE. The plane juddles had (VYC) doesn't have seatback IFE but does have Q-Streaming.

Unfortunately they haven't added individual IFE to any of the 737's that didn't already had it as part of the refurb, just the BYO device wifi. I agree that they should at least supply iPads in J, particularly on the transcon flights. Even a USB charging point would have been nice given that you are draining your battery of your phone or tablet for 4+ hours if using it to watch stuff. I'm guessing this would have added a fair bit of expense to the refurb to retrofit though.

Correct only 29 aircraft have seatback IFE, the other 38 will be BYO device Q-Streaming (with only VXM not fitted now).

All 8 NZ (the ZK) aircraft have seat back IFE.

So the message if flying domestically is BYO device (and have the QF app pre-loaded). And don't rely on airport WiFi as its a large app (20min in BNE and it was only halfway).

VH-XZG out this morning making 57. Looks like VZU into SYD, and VZM into BNE.

Well just to change things up,
VH-VZM popped out of BNE today (only 7 days) and seemingly not refurbed, so add it back to the list

I assume its just had a check and will get refurbed in SYD over the coming months
(a number of the aircraft have done this in the opposite order)

VZU returned to service this morning after refurbishment in SYD making this a/c #58.

I had a 29 row job last night, must be one of a dying breed.

Assume you meant BNE, but XZB currently operating QF625 BNE-MEL
