As per link below the Qantas Points website it talks about entering a strong pin, but I only have the option to have a 4 number pin. That doesn't seem very secure in this day and age

Just like passwords, PINs need to be strong and unique to you. PINs should be a random mix of numbers, letters and characters. You should avoid using obvious patterns like 1234, postcodes, birthdays or other significant dates and numbers.

They are trialling 2 factor log in but it hasn’t been rolled out yet. All my bank cards just have a four number pin.

Bank card is a little different to web security - the issuer of that bank card wouldn't allow you to have a 4 number pin to log on to your bank account via the web.

So 4 number pin is the norm - just thought I was missing something.

Still doesnt explain why Qantas website (Link here : Qantas Frequent Flyer Member Security) explains password security but yet our accounts do not have it

But they'll let you have to to log into mobile banking...

Indeed. Banking apps only have 4 numbers.
Mine has 5, and that's only usable as a shortcut after using the normal log in details that you would use on a desktop when you first use the app.
