Hi all.

Not sure who to call to find out if a hotel room for the overnight stay typically included on such flights.

I am trying to book an AA award from Syd to Europe. The only option popping up is QF Sydney to Bangkok then Finnair to Helsinki and onwards to another European city. I would arrive in BKK in the afternoon and the flight to HEL leaves the following morning.

I was going to call AA but since it's not an AA flight, not sure if they would know.

And I suppose part 2 or the question, if a hotel is not included, can anyone recommend a BKK airport hotel for the night.

Thanks.

You will not get a hotel included, despite the overnight layover. I suggest that you go to wotif (or similar) to have a look at your hotel options, but you should be able to pick up a reasonable hotel for $100. Not knowing how 'basic' you are willing to go, but I would recommend a brand that you recognize and can view online. Enjoy your award flight.

Novotel is a nice pick, but there are others with a free shuttle for a lot less money - depends on your taste. The The Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel is less than half the cost of the Novotel. The Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel - Wotif.com
