If I check-in using my Platinum Q card at the airport - would that also check-in my traveling companion who doesn't have a FF account (but on the same booking )?

Others can confirm, but if you use the Tap Check In it probably only checks you in. But if you to a kiosk and use the self-checkin, you probably get the option to check in companions on the same booking.

If checking in using the pole each person on the booking needs to swipe their card. In your case, I'd guess that means the answer is no.

Well that answers it guys.

Thanks.

Once when I tried to tap in the pole with another person on my booking I got the red light and it directed me to a kiosk. Not sure if it was casued from the 2nd pax, or another random QF error.
