PV user travelling to USA

Hope a PV (personal vaporiser) user can help here. We are fly QF and AA over to Miami next week. My husband is a vaper and will be taking 210ml of e-juice in total in 5 small bottles for his enjoyment over our 5 week cruise. The 5 bottles will fit nicely into the 3-1-1 bag, but think it may cause drama at the LAG check-point for the QF and AA flights.
Is it OK to take this in carry on and show the goods or more expedient to pack them away in checked luggage and avoid queries?

As long as they are within LAG rules in the ziplock bag, it wont be an issue for carry-on.

Security is a strange thing, there is no consistency in what they allow / check for with even in the same country.

Recently got pinged for 2 cigarette lighters at LAX but acceptable at 3 other airports

Clazgirl got pinged for some of her makeup as being unacceptable, but had been through 5 security check points previously

i always carry multiples: 1 in my handbag which i admit to and hand over if asked if i have a lighter; 1 at the bottom of my carry-on which i pretend i forgot about; and then at least 3 in my luggage in random pockets...it's much easier than getting annoyed or trying to appeal to their logic if they want to take your 1 and only lighter
