I am looking at buying a QF ticket originating ex SIN via the USA call centre with a USA Visa card. I'd like it to be billed in USD. Has anyone attempted his before? I'm in the USA currently, so if I need to show my card at an airport. That's doable. (Most likely ORD)

Any experience welcome!

I will watch this with interest. Is it cheaper by a lot when Qantas Australia has a sale?

The fare I'm looking at isn't a QF sale fare it is a standard published Y fare. (YLEE1YSG)

Sorry, is there a reason you can't buy it online; or is it because you want to be charged in USD? You don't need to show the original card for bookings from SIN in my experience on QF, so this won't be an issue. I have not been able to be charged in a different currency, however, so I'm not sure if you'll have much luck there.

I am going to watch this thread with interest as well.

Paying in USD will be the thing that I think might become too hard.

I'll be calling during business hours Monday. So only 12 hours to wait :-)

As they say in America "I'm rooting for you v8Statesman".
You have the card, you have the address so you are ready to save.

Sadly this is being left as the great unanswered at the moment. The day I wanted to Fly QF is/was Y0, so I have gone a different route. Tell me why QFi isn't making money again and they need to pull out of PER?
