Not sure if this is the best place to ask or not but are you able to buy upgrades at the airport before a flight with SQ? If so are they discounted at all?
One of my flights is currently showing availabilty of all of econ 0 and all of the bussiness buckets 9 if that would help the situation? also another flight appears almost empty atm with 9's for every class bucket

The general theme with SQ is that they would rather fly with the J cabin empty than to have their premium service available at a discount.

I think miles uprgades are available online prior to the flight.

Try walking in with a broken leg.

Worked for a guy I saw checking in about 2 months ago!

It is possible to buy an upgrade, but it will not be discounted, in fact quite the opposite.
In my experience, the procedure that is used in SIN (dunno about other stations, but prob same) is cancel the existing booking, calculate the fees and penalties for doing so, rebook in full fare one way. Quite an expensive exercise.

Thanks I thought that might have been the case from some of the looking around i have done, but thought I would ask

Haha I have always wondered about this, My mum works at a doctors surgery easy access to required supplies, but i imagine they would have words when 30mins later you board with no cast cause who would ever chose to fly in a positon unable to move your leg haha
