The other half got an email this morning for a new promo. Details are:

s a Le Club
Accorhotels member, the more you stay with us, the more valuable your reward.
From a Le Club Accorhotels luggage tag to a chic Samsonite Firelite bag.

To get away with more, simply register and then book and stay before 31 October
2013 at one of over 170 participating Le Club Accorhotels in Australia.

The Le Club Accorhotels rewards range*:

1 = Bag Tags
2 stays = RIFD wallet
3 stays = laptop back pack
4+ stays = Samsonite firelite 55cm

Wont say no to that!

Please read the terms carefully.

4.3 Consecutive night stays at a participating hotel will be considered as one (1) stay even if booked separately.
4.4 Consecutive stays at different participating hotels within a 5km radius of one another will be considered as
one (1) stay.

Ibis King St Wharf rates can be as low as $65/night ..... now I wonder whether $260 is worth the Samsonite spinner case. I don't really need a new case though.

It's mighty attractive with some of the 50% off deals going about at the moment

Novotel Twin Waters can be had for around $80 and the Mercure around King George Square in Brisbane for about $80

Lots of loopholes in this one:

excludes Partner Accor Advantage Plus and Partner Privilege Accor Advantage Plus members

I've not done much with my A|Club membership so I'm not quite sure about the above exclusions, is it certain hotels besides the ones stated that are excluded?

The normal non participating ones, aka Sofitel Brisbane etc. I was pointing out the fact it seems advantage plus members miss out, loopholes for Accor in that context. They are probably using the 10% commission to fund the program.

Advantage plus members do not miss out. I received the email promotion based on my advantage plus membership

Maybe I am misreading the terms and conditions:

4. To be eligible to participate in this Incentive, the participant must during the Incentive period:

b. be an Australian resident; and
c. be a current member of Accor’s Le Club Accorhotels Loyalty Program (excludes Partner Accor Advantage
Plus and Partner Privilege Accor Advantage Plus members);

The 'Partner' is the key - it's a discounted Adv+ membership (a similar philosophy to Partner QP).

Partner Advantage Plus is a Singaporean program for some Accor investors. It also gives gold rather than silver membership

This is so typical of Accor group..almost all their promotions are ambiguous and confusing. As serfty mentioned partner membership are like the partner QP membership. Besides one has to go searching for participating properties as its quite easy to assume from the communication from Accor that it applies to any of their properties.

Partner Accor Advantage Plus is not the same program Accor Advantage Plus Partner - Membership Benefits

Awesome, I have at least 2 stays booked for the promo period.
FWIW I was offered a luggage tag on check-in at a Mercure a few months ago.

Does anyone have the passport wallet or Viz Air plus laptop backpack?

I wonder what the ongoing status of this is. I have made the required bookings and says but still no correspondence? Someone said something about eligible people getting emails in November, though there is limited stock. I wonder how they are going to work it.

Bookings are one thing, stays are what count, ie nothing triggers until you have checked out.
