We booked a Qantas flight through Best Flights in March 2010 for a trip in July. We had to cancel this trip in June 2010. Although Best Flights cancelled the flight back then, they say now that they did not get the form from us advising which credit card to refund the money to. We then resent this form to them in Sept - and they never responded to the email from us requesting confirmation of the form receipt. The stories change each time I speak to Best Flights. They have said that the refund will now take another 12 weeks as they need to wait on the refund from Qantas. I spoke to Qantas - they advised they had processed the refund. Then Best Flights said the refund must be being held by their ticketing agent Concord. I called Concord and they refused to investigate - said that they will only speak to Best Flights. Best Flights have refused to follow up with Concord until a few more weeks have passed - but now say the refund will take 2 weeks and not 12 weeks that I had been advised 15 minutes earlier!
So someone is sitting on our refund of nearly $3k - and the insult is that Best Flights will charge $490 for processing the cancellation!
I will give 2 weeks and the take further action,
I will never use Best Flights again for a booking - the flight we had booked direct with Qantas was refunded by them within 24 hours so I would always book in future direct with the airline.

Welcome to AFF Maureen2304.

If you do a search on this site, there's a number of threads relating to issues with Best Flights, typically complaining about the way changes/cancellations are handled.

Presuming the cancellation fees were made clear prior to booking, I dont know if you'lll have any luck dealing with that, but it shouldnt be this difficult.

The other threads had some useful ideas on how to proceed in this situation where BestFlights seem to be stalling matters.

I am sorry that you had to learn the hard way.

The only thing you can do is warn family and friends of the dangers of using this travel agent.
