I tried to gain entry to the No1 lounge on Wednesday afternoon about midday. Was told it was reservation only and probably up to 16.00 or so. Advise that you pre-book if you are going there.
As a back-up I went to a cafe (a la Melbourne style) and was given £15 off the bill per PP guest. £30 all up for me. Found it using the PP App....

I didn't have the trouble when I was there last year

Pretty much standard practice for PP for all London airports. Don't expect to just show up unannounced at any time and gain entry. You will probably have to wait (forever?).

And I got bumped at Amsterdam lounge 41 at 8.30 am last Thu. Business class ticket was OK but they were actively refusing PP members specifically.
Less and less value for me....

We had no trouble accessing the lounge at 630am last November! We will try again this Nov at 4am....don't expect any problems!!
