I have an upcoming krisflyer miles redemption booking from HYD to MEL. Can I still show my velocity platinum status at the check-in counter to have excess luggage allowance / priority boarding at the gate. As I did not have an option to enter my velocity number , do they still consider the status. Thanks

You can request to have it added in at check-in counter.
Thanks , the problem is that mine being a reward ticket it already has the krisflyer member number added to that. Will give it a try at the airport and see how it goes.

Mine was a reward ticket as well and I had them added New Zealand gold status without any problems.

Great , I was getting worried but now my additional luggage will not have to be paid for if they do recognize the VFF status.
