Has anyone ever experienced this?
I was online changing my flight & chose a fare on a different day that was exactly the same price as my original fare of $399.

Pressed changed & I got an error stating “Pricing Error Unable to price your fare”.
I tried three times & got the same error.

As the VA system is notoriously ***** I immediately rang the call centre thinking it was an issue with the computer system as I had paid for part of it with travel bank.

The man I spoke to in the Platinum call centre said the fare is $599 even though I had $399 three times about 30 seconds earlier.
He kept telling me about different fare categories etc which I understand but the error I didn’t.

I spoke to a supervisor who told me that someone else must have bought that seat (3 times apparently) at exactly the same time as I was doing it as the lowest fare was now $599.

She refused to acknowledge that their system is rubbish and disallowed me from making changes etc in the past. She was very happy to take my extra $200 and proceed with the change 25 minutes after I first rang where of course the ticket could’ve been sold by then

I understand that their system is stuffed to the point that last year I used my free upgrade at the airport and was given a boarding pass but someone had also bought the seat and in the lounge I was told that I had to sit in economy.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of malarkey or am I the only lucky one?

I’ve experienced all sorts of “computer says no” from VA but nothing like this and nothing like the “service” I received from the VA call centre. I felt like I was being scolded like a naughty school child then brushed off.

Updated I've just looked on my laptop instead of my phone and the $399 fare is still there and I still get the same error. WHAT??

Business Class fares are fully refundable. I'd call them and explain the pricing on the website.

I just checked on line for the same flight, date etc..... It def. says $399.00. Why don't you cancel the flight (put the credit back into travel bank) and then book another seat? I would try and book the other seat first incase there is a problem. Not sure if the system recognises the same name on the same flight but it may be worth a try. Good luck.....

Yes indeed. Just cancel to travel bank and rebook. BTW, I've never had a problem when doing this.

FWIW, if it's a Business fare you should be able to cancel for a refund (not just travel bank).

I would also cancel and rebook at the lower price.
