Not only Velocity.

Lots of companies have implemented the automated phone system wrong. Let me ask for operator after first menu not the sixth or seventh menu.

Hate to say it, but that's very very intentional. Talking to a computer is cheap, talking to a person is expensive.

Hate to say it, but that's very very intentional. Talking to a computer is cheap, talking to a person is expensive.
If it is intentional it is a poor way to treat customers.

But then we know that customer service went out the window a long time ago and we accept the poor service standards and increasing prices as a fact of life. Sad.

About half the time I call velocity the IVR isn't processing member numbers and asks me to hit 4 for platinum.

Last night I called twice, once about 22:05 and another at 22:25, the first time it didn't work, the second time it did.

Both times I got through to the same (super friendly) person and got what I wanted done.
