PR (PAL) J MEL-MNL-PVG / PVG-MNL-MEL Sub $2K

As per title PA (PAL) showing ret J MEL-MNL-PVG / PVG-MNL-MEL for ~A$1,930 Nov 6 dep / Nov 14 ret - have not checked any other dates and have not flown PR in a decade due to their 2nd rate hard and soft product. Only drawback is ~20+ connections but hey such is life.

A few here are crowing how PR have improved and with new metal I might be tempted to give them a whirl at those rates - like even as bad as they were price is appealing.

I’m definitely a fan of PR.
That’s a great price and it looks like the connections whilst being long are quite good timings. Think there are shorter connections on different days.

Yes, like Taiwan's China Airlines, PR is (on the routes such as Oz where it uses modern aircraft with IFE and lie flat in J) an excellent airline.

Cruiser Elite's experiences on it a decade ago don't reflect what it is today to/from SYD/MEL/BNE (although BNE flights have the narrowbody A321neo, albeit still with lie flat 12 J seats). SYD/MEL have redone A333s.

So the PR circus just rolls on and on - I did actually book this cheap ret J fare MEL-MNL-PVG/PVG-MNL-MEL dep No 6 (today) ret Nov 14 as I just could not get SQ rdpt flts ex MEL

Couple days later I got ADL-SIN-PVG at spontaneous escapes rate Nov 6 so on Oct 20 I called PR to cancel and was told send email to bookings dept in SYD and they would take care of it which I did.

Later that day I rcvd return email showing request from 1 section in bookings dept to another section requesting they cancel flts and refund.

Long story short I finally secured F rdpt ex NEL on SQ and I am currently sitting in MEL SKL F

Yesterday I rcvd email from PR telling me I could check in online - I imm sent off another email to bookings in SYD again asking them to effect cancellation as they indicated they would on Oct 20

25 mins ago I get call from PR in MEL asking am I flying today because checkin closing in 10 mins!!! FFS - what a circus!!!
