Taking the family (4 passengers) to USA (from Perth) and flying back through Melbourne the weekend of the AFL grand final. Does anyone know the rough cost of pushing back the Mel-Per flight and making it 4-7 days later so we can stay for the Grand Final?

You haven’t provided enough info as the answer will depend on ticket type and fare conditions amongst other things

This information is on your ticket with the conditions for your fare class. I just got hit for $180 plus $80 change fee for a non flexible fare that I just did. Check if you can do it online as that will show the fees as well.

Great thanks .. I'll check online

For US N fares the change fee is $225 per person assuming the following:

1. MEL-PER has N class available for the date that you want
2. You haven't used up your fare stopover allowance
3. You have partially flown your ticket, if you haven't and it's fully unused, you will be subject to the fare difference re-rated at today's fare levels
