Possible to change name on award ticket?

Have a flight booked on CX using QFF points, classic award. He now cannot travel with me as work commitments have come up. I'm still going however. Is it possible to change the name to take some law instead? I've read the website but am still unsure.

Officially, it doesn't sound like you can for CX flights.

14.7.4 Subject to this clause 14.7, the following changes are permitted to a Classic Award after ticketing and prior to commencement of any travel and will incur a Change Fee (see the Fee Schedule) per passenger:
(e) change to name (only for Flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket that are operated by Qantas)
