I've not heard of any rumours in the government department I'm in. QF seem to have recently offered private fares to govt departments (B class) that are fully flexible but not refundable and are often cheaper than the available "cheap" fares. They also are considered full economy as far earning SC are concerned, so ones SC accumulate faster.
As SC accumulation is the main benefit of the FF scheme in any case, and you still get the 5000 points Loyalty Bonus every so often, the lack of points isn't that bad. The loyalty bonus plus status bonus really "scrambled the egg" in any case for that hypothetical person who tried to comply with policy of maintaining their work related points accounted for separately from their privately earned FF points, which of course now includes shopping. Did anyone apart from those preparing for a gig in "Extreme Accountants" ever try to keep them separate
