Just returned from a quick sojourn across the seas. Has anyone had problems with status crediting. I had a Qantas business flex not credit to my personal account( stated ineligible, but yet gave points to my business account?? - since rectified when I queried). I have also had a Finnair business light denied status credits entirely even though it was booked into a eligible booking class online when I claimed it (R). I have since escalated it as it appears to be booked into an eligible booking class (https://www.qantas.com/au/en/freque...ning-tables/earn-category-tables.html#finnair). Would be interested in hearing about anyone else with business light on finnair. My BA flights took a couple of weeks, but were the only ones that behaved normally!!!!

I am currently having the same issue. I bought a Finnair fare to Europe (MEL-SIN-HEL-BER). All in business class. The Finnair legs with fare class "R". I tried to claim the points and SCs after 4 weeks. My claim was declined. I was certain that R was "Business" in terms of earning.
I called this morning. They said that it was denied because the Finnair flights were not codeshare flights. Is that such a thing?
They said they would keep checking on it and get back to me later today.

If you have boarding passes, the best thing is to just email frequent_flyer at qantas.com and include the flight details and boarding pass scan/screenshot. I had one flight missing from an AU-SIN-HEL-LHR trip, and despite being knocked back twice using the online form, once I emailed, it was credited about 3 hours later.

Thanks so much for this advice. I have all the boarding passes and the booking showing the fare classes. So I'll prepare it and send it now.

It is an eligible booking class:

It is a thing when the flight is operated by a non oneworld member, but MEL-SIN (presumably AY5014 operated by Qantas?) would be eligible. What was the HEL-BER flight number? If it was operated by Nordic Regional Airlines, you may need to remind Qantas that they are a subsidiary of Finnair and a oneworld affiliate - scroll down on this page:

The FF team's understanding of their own program is woeful at best.

Thank you for confirming the part about the codeshare. I deliberately avoided Nordic Regional Airlines in the booking. The flights were booked through Finnair. Qantas (QF35) to Singapore, and then Finnair (AY132 and AY1433) to Helsinki and Singapore (all in Finnair planes).

What was alarming about my call with Qantas yesterday (to the German phone number.. routed to a call centre somewhere in Asia I think), the guy was away for a long time and came back with the codeshare story. He wasn't confident of his answer and said he'd call me back. He never called back. I have sent an email to Qantas now with all my documents/boarding passes.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

After contacting Qantas many times they eventually gave the credits and points for the flights. The service via the email address was much better than claiming via the Qantas website.
I'm expecting I will need to fight again for the return flights I did earlier this week.
Thanks again for the advice !
