Hey folks!
Today I was looking around Qantas hotel's site for a room in Vegas, and I found a bug/scam/error in booking using points.
When you go to pay cash, the big red button says (for example): $466 and the little message above it will say "Includes fees of $104.87 (approx) payable in local currency on check-out." And on click thru it will state total payable $465.27 (360.40 + 104.87)
However when you click "Use Points + Pay" the default option it still says ""Includes fees of $104.87 (approx) payable in local currency on check-out." and shows you: 5000 Points + $329.25 which looks like a damn good deal, until you click through and it comes up total $434.12 (329.25 + 104.87)
So basically QFF will quote you total price when paying cash, but quote you without the fees when Points + Pay.
Is this a case of false advertising? Should I bother bringing it to ACCC?
Cheers.
P.S Screen shots available upon request, and sorry if this has been brought up before.
