Points for Shangri-La, which is best?

We have an upcoming 3 night stay in a suite at Traders KL and I had a look at their loyalty program. Question is if it is better to earn GC points or have points directly to your FF program?
It looks as if I only get 500 points to KF if I do it direct, but if I transfer points from GC to KF, I seem to get 1 for 1. Question is if I am correct in my findings? Anyone else transferred?

Also, does anyone know how many points would my stay really be worth? I am not really familiar with how it works but would like to know before I get there

I believe there needs to be a minimum of 2500 GC points before you can transfer them to any airline, It's been around a year since my last Shangri La stay so I can't really remember how many points I earnt, however they're probably worth collecting as you don't need many points for good redemptions..Example; Shangri La Sydney which is one of their nicest is only 5,000 points for an opera house view room per night.

I am interested to see how many points our stay would be worth tho... guess I will find out one way or another
