We recently stayed at St Regis KL and I booked the accommodation via Qantas Hotels as the rate was significantly cheaper than direct with Marriott. I understand that the room charges, as not booked direct, will not earn any points. Does this mean that the food and beverage charges (eg breakfast in house, lunch, room service etc) are also excluded or should I be able to earn points for those?

Yes these should qualify-there is no need to stay to earn on food and drink. May need to chase

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks. I thought I should and have sent through to Marriott but they emailed back saying the stay wasn't eligible. (Never mind that the receipt i sent was just for dining!) I will continue to chase.

The entire stay including incidentals will not post.

The only way you could have had the time captured the points for meals would have been to lodge the form while paying for your dining via the Marriott Members Dine More program (assuming the property participates).

Marriott Members Dine More | Join Now to Enjoy Benefits

The form is now white it used to be blue (it is a remnant of the old Starwood program) where you enter your member number, name and address.

Regrettably since the programs merged both times I have gone through the process points never posted (it requires FnB staff to manually post) it used to be flawless with Starwood.

I had to call to get food & drink points on recent stay in Lombok; they were itemized on the bill folio. Apparently they had been seen and initially rejected, possibly as I was on an award booking (which had credited for the 7 nights + 500 points) . I was on the line for 25 minutes, then needed to send the bill by email. 1 more email needed as hotel name (Sheraton i.e ex-SPG) not on the bill. All credited now

Oh of interest, was the Senggigi resort impacted by the earthquakes at all? Nice place?

No residual effect on the hotel from what I can see. Apparently the staff looked after the guests exceptionally well during the quake-I'm not at all surprised as they were great.
The surrounding countryside does show considerable housing damage with many too frightened to go back to a stone house.
We really enjoyed our trip to the hotel and island.
