I was under the impression that points and SC are given only for segments actually flown? Recently I failed to show for two segments (being the entire booking), but the points and SC still posted. I'm certainly not complaining, given it was a .br booking.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Way to Go !!!!

How an earth does this happen? I'm still waiting for my points & SC's for Mel-Akl, flown last week.

Yep happened to me, I called up and was told "thanks for being honest and telling us, looks like you got lucky" and kept the points and credits.

Simpler, fairer flying indeed.

This is not a dig at the OP but at QF's back-end system.

Years ago I was planning a trip and originally was flying a few sectors in Europe and then to Asia on BA. The booking hadn't been ticketed or anything and I eventually cancelled it and did something else. Anyway, I checked MMB one day and here were about 4 fights that posted with points and SC from BA for flights that I never flew!! I was pretty impressed - and that year I needed every single SC to requal SG.
