I need some advice about some upcoming stays at Hilton hotels in China in November.

I am Gold and have 80,500 points. I have three choices per night at the Hilton Beijing hotel.

  1. A$242
  2. 40,000 points
  3. 16,000 points plus A$82

For 2 x 2 nights, combining Options 1 and 2 would cost A$484 + 80000 points.
Using Option 3 would cost A$328 + 64000 points.

With Option 3, I was wondering if the cash element earns any points. And also does it count as a stay towards requalifying for Gold?

Thanks in advance to all the HHonours members who are so knowledgeable and helpful. I would love to meet even one of you. Just had another week at HotP but still no luck yet!

Cash and points does not earn points on the cash component, but does on the spend in room.
It also does not count as a stay as far as I am aware, but may be wrong on this. SPG points stays do.
