Point Transfer

I have 815,000 amex points that I need to trasnfer as the account is closing...do I go QFF 2=1, marriot 3=2 or other option

The Bell21....I have lifteime travel benefits with United so travel to USA ad Europe most often, but plenty in Asia too

That mix doesn't help your decision unfortunately, as that crosses over multiple types of points you could use - United is SA, but from memory, only KFF is the only good SA member on AMEX partner list, which is 3:1. YMMV, but I'd consider some mix of Qatar/BA, QFF, Virgin and Cathay (remembering though that you can use Qatar/BA to book VFF/QFF fliights as well) --- although I find SQ best for Asia-related travel, given the conversion rates, I'd consider Cathay, given it's 2:1 conversion (albeit I've never used points on Cathay, so that's an assumption). For me, I'd probably put a good chunk of points into Qatar, and a smaller amount into each of QFF/Cathay. Others on the forum may have better thoughts / pertinent questions to assist.

Which will you use?

I tend to use AMEX for Marriott as it's harder for me to earn those points. QFF points are very easy to earn. Marriott also easy to keep active.

Thx Betty B......yep I have a couple of million QFF so i think you could be on the money....my wife is a Marriot Bonvoy so I might trasnfer them to her. I assume I can.

The Marriott one hasn't been for ? 2 years from memory, but I think IF it happens, it'd be in next month or so - my memory is foggy though on last time it happened, but it was excellent (as was 1:1 ratio)
