Hi,

My wife and I have BA flights in World Traveller+ which is their premium economy from Sydney to Venice via London return coming up. I was reading other parts of the QFF earning and came across a clause that seems to say BA world traveller+ earns points as a full economy rather than as premium economy which really annoys me. Is that correct from others reading?

I am just becoming familiar with AA's program which definitely gives a 10% credit for BA premium economy so it is tempting to earn under that program instead. It would mean missing out on Silver status in Qantas but since I am a Qantas Club member anyway earning Silver doesn't really get you any extra benefit does it?

If you become Silver status do you get status bonus points on minimum earn flights or still just the 1000 points? I ask because my flights are mainly Hobart/Melbourne/Canberra.

Thanks,
Dale.

According to the QF site you earn base + 10% cabin bonus.

That's certainly what I was credited to my QFF account when I flew WT+ with BA in December.

Flying premium economy earns the same SC's as paying full economy. The Qantas website (partner airlines) explains it fairly well.

I have checked - it's just for my JFK-LHR flight in a few weeks... :D

Thanks for the heads up though.

PS = OWR = free checked bag on AA and PriorityAAcess with security and boarding (to some extent).

You also get PS status bonus of 50% if on an eligible flight with a QF/JQ flight number. You only get a 25% bonus with BA/AA flight numbers.
