PM's air rage

That depends on how big the entourage is, of course, for any official trip there will be many more than just the PM flying. Not to mention the press galley as well.

Platy, I've meet at least 3 for our recent prime ministers (even had a GG visit for dinner). I wish that we could have 2 of them back and think very highly of one of them. But that doesn't mean I didn't disliked their public face.

Really, the political stuff here is nothing more than what these same people would have accused the Howard Haters of doing. I think is it a welcome demonstration of the hypocrisy of certain types of people on bother sides of politics. Something to learn from.....

Ah, cool, some common sense and balance, go Medhead!

It's pilots and top brass only in F for staff travel isn't it?

IMHO. when paying $16,000 return SYD-LHR I don't want the F cabin diluted with staff junkets (pilots or otherwise).

Point is that staff infest premium cabins, so the general flying public is hardly being inconvenienced if the PM HAS to travel on QF and the airline does the right thing and demotes staff rather than paying pax.

The PM might even get better treatment in commercial F than some of the woeful standards suggested in the VIP fleet service.

Fellow bloggers might muse that it is our tax payers money that is under writing poor service for our PM who should be properly fed for the tasks at hand, whether or not you support him politically or not.

As an Australian, I am rather embarrassed to hear about Kevin Rudd's behaviour as has been reported by the media - it makes us sound like we have elected a bogan as our prime minister,

Bogan definition can be related back to:

• A pronounced lack of dress sense in social situations.
• Distinct vocabulary.
• A particular choice in music.
• A poorly-maintained house or unit.

according to the definitions freely available on the web - none of which seem to apply

nothing about air rage, unfortunately
