Plus bundle inclusions

As a DRW based traveller with limited options Northbound, I really wish JQ would let me book a flight that earns SC without an inflight voucher.

As a fiscally prudent traveller (tight ar$e) I never waste the voucher, but my dietician, doctor and wife all say I don't need five packets of brownies and two packets of Pringles. I tend to agree.

Do they tend to recognise you a fiscally prudent traveller?

On the few occasions I do fly JQ I find it irritating that they force the $5/$10 voucher into the plus bundle and then price the menu in such a way that the voucher will either not quite cover the cost of my selection or the cost will not quite come up to the $5/$10.

If it is the former then you have to contribute cash to top up and if it's the latter then they've gained my 50 cents or whatever.. Win win! For JQ at least

I just take the cost of the bundle to be the cost to earn SC/points and that way if I do buy something or not is irrelevant. If I don't feel like something I'd normally ask my seatmates if they are buying something and save them some $$$'s and if they're not I'd get something like a pack of chips that I can just eat later.

I agree, that is the best way to view the plus bundle and its "benefits".

On shorter flights I agree.

On the much longer international flights the meal and advance seat selection are also of some value I think
