Hi everyone,

Just wondering how many platinum one's there are in Perth and whether it's worth Obtaining. I'm currently one return trip in business off obtaining platinum one. Of all the listed benefits those over and above platinum seem to be in Sydney - mvc lounge. Would appreciate thoughts and comments

Im in WA, based in KGI.

I think P1 is really only worth obtaining for international travel, points upgrade & op-up's, when things go wrong & getting award seats released.

Domestic travel is great to get front row of whY most of the times & Op-Up's have gone through the roof since obtaining P1 (8 Op-Up's outa 32 whY flights) ofcourse that has to do with peak times of travel aswell. Getting special service onbaord by CSM is really great too, they are always so friendly & go that extra mile for you.

My advise would be if your that close to P1, do a JASA & go for it

It's worth it as above. Other little things happen too.
I was delayed by 3.5 hours the other week (on a paid J ticket). Couple of days later the phone rings, it's customer service apologising and crediting me with a fistful of FF points.

Hey that's handy!

I had a 3 hour delay a month ago in J and got a free ticket to a new flight which was delayed more than the original flight, haha.

Pfisher004: As others say the benefits are there when travelling internationally, even more so if you are NOT in the highest cabin on the aircraft. Nobody visits the MCA lounge and there's nothing else that is East Coast based that you'll miss out on. QF knows most P1's are happy to fly in for events.
