Platinum Charge + Platinum Edge 3,2,1 points?

Hey guys have a question if anyone has got both the Platinum Charge + Platinum Edge cards,

Do the points you earn on the Edge get linked into Asent Premium because you also hold the Charge card?
Just curious because of the 3,2,1 points earning system on the Edge...

Yes you can downgrade the complimentary Reserve to the Edge. Your points will continue to accrue with your Ascent Premium account as long as you still hold the Charge card.

Only use the Edge for supermarkets and petrol obviously

Must get round to using my free flight too!

So did you get the Edge in addition to the Reserve as you still have the flight?

I opted for Edge instead of reserve which they said was fine. They did accidentally charge me the $99 fee but a quick message to them resolved that

Ditto for me, and I really must book the flight as well!

While this is good for earning points (QFF included), just note that the free flight is much more restricted in origin/destination on the Edge than the Reserve. So long as your relative spend at Supermarkets/Service Stations out-weighs this in points then its worthwhile to go for the edge.
