Platinum Charge Accor Plus Stay Plus free night

If you can be bothered pursuing it, give the Accor Plus folks a call. After I pushed it they did say it can be done after using one of your nights. It did sound convoluted and I wasn't 100% convinced I was being told the truth, so I used one of mine prior to the rollover date. Ie, I cannot confirm whether the process is valid or not.
Thank you for your suggestion. I may raise this again with AccorPlus later - the fact that I now have 3 unused credits (1 being forfeited) demonstrates the real life value of these free nights to me under current circumstances. Further, I was promised an extension before I cancelled my late Aug booking (due to border restriction) but then the same person backtracked on her words. Do not want to waste time and effort at this moment on possibly false promises...

I really appreciate your advice and suggestion - just somewhat have a feeling of helplessness ☹️😅

Thanks for your advice Daver6. I can't book a night, even locally, before the end of the month to try to use one or two of the nights I have available. When I phoned earlier this week I was told all nights would roll over but when I asked on chat I was told only one night would be rolled over. I'll call at the end of the month to ask if there is anything I can do.

I've just contacted Accor about my 3 free nights on my account which expire on 30 September. First I phoned the Member Services number and was on hold for a while so I tried chat as well. The call was answered just as the chat started. I explained the situation and the lady I spoke to said that the Stay Plus night will be rolled over when the membership is renewed by Amex. I said that I have 3 free nights and asked if they will all be rolled over and she said yes.

Since the lady on chat asked for my details I thought I may as well give the same query. She replied:
"Perfect, when the membership gets renewed which should be automatically renewed before the end of the month we can extend 1 Stay Plus Night on to the new membership year upon renewal.

I then said "I couldn't use last year's Stay Plus night either and that was extended. I had booked to use all of the Stay Plus nights in August this year but that trip had to be cancelled due to border closures and lockdowns. We are not allowed to leave our local area so we can't even use them to stay somewhere locally. If we were allowed to travel anywhere this month we could travel and use them but we are not allowed. Our lockdown currently officially runs until Sep 30 but will be extended."

She replied: "Due to the membership type we are only allowed to extend 1 Stay Plus night on to the new membership year because it's an American Express membership. Could you please contact us when the membership is renewed and provide the following ticket number xx_xx_ either on Chat or over the phone and someone will be able to assist accordingly and have the Stay Plus night extended."

I'll call Accor back when the membership has been renewed and ask again.
I received my new AccorPlus membership card a couple of days ago and I was about to call them about the 3 nights I still have available to see if I can get any more than one night extended. I logged in to my account and to my surprise it shows:
"4 Stay plus Nights available Expiring 30/09/2022" so I'll see if it still shows 4 nights available after 01 October.

Are you able to see on the Accor app how many free nights you have?

I’ve only been looking in the website. I’ve just logged into the app and it shows “3 x Stay Plus nights. The next of which expires 30/9/21. 1 x Stay Plus night. The next of which expires on 30/9/22”.

I hadn’t realised that it would show differently in the app. I’ll call them tomorrow and see if they will extend more than one of the ones expiring tomorrow, although from what others have posted I probably won’t have any luck.

I've just phoned Accor and after being on hold for over an hour I was answered by someone in an Australian call centre. As I've mentioned before I had 3 Stay Plus nights that were expiring on 30 September, one not used from 2019-2020 and one from 2020-2021 and somehow last year when rolling over the 2019-2020 night an extra one was added. I told him that logging in on the website shows 4 nights expiring on 30 September 2022 while on the app it shows 3 nights expiring today and 1 next September and he said this is a glitch.

After putting me on hold for a few minutes he came back and said he had added one night to roll over. I then said that I had one from 2019-2020 and one from 2020-2021 that I had not been able to use, although I had booked to use them both before having to cancel and I told him I wasn't sure about the third night listed. He put me on hold and then came back and told me he had now rolled over 2 nights so I'll have 3 nights expiring on 30 September 2022.

My details on the app have now been updated to show "1 x Stay Plus Night - the next of which expires on 30/9/21" and "3 x Stay Plus Nights - the next of which expires on 30/9/22".

So it is worth calling them to ask about extending any unused nights from the last 2 years. When I used Chat a couple of weeks ago they were adamant that Amex users can only have one night rolled over.

So my free night expired 30th May from memory

1. Any chance of having that back to use again
2. How do I get the next free night, Accor have sent me a new card and Amex online stays I'm already enrolled in Accor.

It should be one free night each year ?
