The first Virgin Australia-branded aircraft commenced flying New Zealand skies today; featuring a new interior design and the white, red and silver Virgin Australia livery.
I was on DJ54, 737-8 SYD-AKL last Fri and economy had been re-fitted with new seats whereas the premium seating had not been upgraded. i.e. they were still the old redish leather seats.
This morning I was on DJ54,737-8 from AKL-SYD and the whole cabin had been refitted. The premium was still a 3-3 config (with the middle seat blocked out by a drinks tray) but had new grey leather upholstery. No business class seating unfortunately!
