Only two of us in J on the early afternoon KTA-PER flight today.

We had one side each and the exclusive use of the J loo was enforced. :)

My first ever overseas flight was on a BA 747 to LHR way back about 1990 or so. So few people on the flight (I was on the top deck in Economy I think, but memory might be faulty) that we all made beds in the centre seats and slept for most of both legs (via BKK in those days I think).
Anyway friends had told me how rough Y all the way to Europe would be, and I wondered what the hell they were talking about................

I found out on the return journey.

Cheers,
P

Couple of years ago my mate and I were the only ones in J MEL-LA on Virgin. FAs told us we could eat asmuch as we wanted as they had full catering loaded. Unfortunately i fell asleep after the dinner service.

Had 8 pax CBR-MEL last year (last flight of the night) on QF.

Had 3 pax on Cimber Sterling from Copenhagen to Montpellier on a 737 in 2011. 5am departure must have scared them off! Slept like a baby across 3 seats.

Wow, and I thought I was lucky to fly four times yesterday and have an empty seat next to me on each flight!

I was on a MAAS fare several years ago to PER from SYD due to a death in the family. A OMGO'clock flight, and the CSM came and introduced herself and apologised for my loss. Made it clear that if there was anything they could do just ask. I had not slept in a few days and said 'i don't suppose I could sit in J' (it was empty, not a seat taken) and was told "well i'm sorry we have no catering but you're more than welcome to sit there". I was ushered up, curtains closed, and all the window shades closed for me to rest. They had some of the J 'Mana from Heaven' cakes/cookies, and they plied me with these.

Simply an amazing flight, and it was a very very surreal experience being the only one in J on a 738. Was like my own private jet if that counts, even if the circumstances that had me sitting there were not the nicest.
