Umm the guy has a stepson who is 17 and a wife who is 28 - wouldnt that make her a mum at 11?

I don't believe the 28yo partner on the plane was the boy's mother.

There was one apparent contradiction in the article - the stepfather said the boy lived alone in London, whereas later on the article stated he lived with his mother and brother.
