Can’t be all that many of them left in service anyway. Very old aircraft now.

Hi All,
I currently live in ASP and the planes are increasing all the time.
It was a sight seeing the A380 flying low over town.

A wiki at the start of this thread would be useful as a summary.

Huge numbers of aircraft parked both temporary and permanently.

They are retiring 40 odd A380's but still plan to operate the remaining 100+

They (in the first cull) are retiring 40 out of existing 115, which will leave 75. (Reference Wikipedia) There are 6x A380 orders additional in question, which will probably never be delivered.

They have very large outstanding orders for B777X, originally scheduled to be delivered 2021 onwards which may be delayed. And also orders for A350-900.

Edit: In an updated report here it is forecast they will initially dispose of 46 (out of 115) and may actually ditch half the fleet.

Etihad to ditch all its A380s (they own 10) and cancel its order for 50xA350's

Lots of souveneir luggage tags or spare parts for A380 on the market in the next 6 months. Sad 😭

The wiki was retired as a feature a while ago as it was under utilised and ultimately not compatible with the current version of Xenforo we run.

Instead, the first post could be edited to link to an Excel document, or similar.
