Mrs Leadman complained so often when I used to collect the PJ's, always asking why? With the lockdowns, I've all but lived in them and she certainly changed tune, estimating we have saved over $600 on jeans et al. But to rate them, EVA Air has been the far better quality and wear, especially in the colder months. QF, fine in summer but Mrs Leadman is complaining they are getting a bit too thin!!! Emirates went a while ago. I still have a few still in their bags, so I think I have about another two years wear. The biggest threat is the kids "disposing of them"!!!!!

Even worse than running out of soap or complimentary pyjamas, I have had to buy spirits at non-duty free or non-overseas prices!

(that's a first for me in almost 30 years!)

Ditto. A mercy flight to NLK manage to restock some but that’s run out…

On the PJ front, the spare bedroom wardrobe is like the “Tupperware cupboard”. You get attacked by PJs when you open it. Caution also for other hoarders, some years QF used some sort of biodegradable plastic that disintegrates on touch…..

My wife keeps reminding me that I need to go somewhere far away so I can return with her favourite perfume and face cream which have long run out.

My QF PJs never got any wear before COVID to be honest, but ended up being my work attire for months. Not really suited for summer though, so they get a rest now. The joys of remote working.

The QR ones were never available in the correct size and along with QF wore thin quickly. But gray long sleeve T shirts were always available cheaply from other sources if the logo was not important.
AA's were created for the North American winter but are finally sagging at the edges....

I have a ton of PJs as we stocked up on various offers including the bar cart and the multiple champers offers which came with the PJs.

They are fab for wearing to bed after a spray tan, saves transfer on the sheets ☺️
You don't have disposable sheets?

They were in the crew rests in the 380, but as far as I know the only use anyone had for them was using the entire pack as a pillow.

Impressive no one complaining about running out of loo paper.
PJ inventory still good over at Quickstatus Global Headquarters.

I am running out of replacement chainsaw chains which is a much more serious matter than PJ, perfume, face cream.
It is much cheaper in the US than back in AU.
When OS I always try to get some chainsaw chains - yes they go in checked luggage.

I think some have forgotten about the OS supply chains drying up. Nothing better than shopping at Home Depot or Lowes just before you depart the US to "top the weight up". Years ago I was sick and tired of seeing the range and the prices in US stores so I converted half my workshop to 110-120v. Have a full range of Dremel plus most of the Estwing range (including the axes with came through checked baggage!) although I'm not sure what to do with the Shingler's hammer!

One of the discussions around the Christmas table was on how much money I had saved over the two years on clothes by wearing the PJ bottoms and estimates range from $300 to $800, but one daughter would pay me that if I stopped wearing them!

My airline PJ's are holding up.
I only wear longs for about 4 months of the year and rarely the top as I get too hot. I much prefer just a pair of shorts.
We are down to our last 100 rolls or so of loo paper so will stock up in the next few days 😂
My Prado holds 180L of fuel, when I do top it up it's with 150L so spending $20 at Shell gets me $15 back. Mostly I come home with 40 rolls for $5.

With the crisis stock level of chainsaw chains - I’m down to my last 10 feet or so and I’ve had to go searching for them online

I’ve discovered a local Supplier 🤣 who brings them in at cheaper than fUS prices (not even factoring Covid costs). Likely cheap no name brand. Will give it a whirl on the Stihl

I’ve had no issues with fuel
I’ve been getting U91 at 139.5 and diesel at 143.5
I gave my dad a barcode to scan U98 at 142.9 for Christmas at a 60c discount.

Basically 40-50c /litre difference otherwise compared with the local servos.
Queensland has very cheap fuel but in the spirit of this thread, I did not have to travel there to attain those price😉

Protip:
U95 currently 142.9

I don't understand why people would need to replace soap. I bought a bar when I went to university in the 1980s and although it has some cracks running along its length, it hasn't gone bad or anything.

My favourite youngest son bought us Big Dogs pjs for Christmas and we got the whole crew Qantas pjs from their special offer using points.
I only keep hotel pens so looks like I wasn’t thinking soap…..
