Photos of empty airports during COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, most airports have sat empty at some point as flights were cancelled and cities went into lockdown. For those few people still flying for whatever reason, this has led to some eerily quiet airport experiences.

I thought I'd start a thread for us to chronicle and document some of the photos taken of empty airports during the pandemic. If you have some photos you'd like to share, please post them here!

I'll start with a few photos of Vienna International Airport in late March 2020. The borders between Austria and most other European countries were already closed, and Austrian Airlines was grounded when these photos were taken. I was flying with ANA to Tokyo (one of the few flights that was still operating), and there were around 20 passengers on board.

Australia wasn't yet in full lockdown when I got back to SYD in late March, but the lounges were all shut and things were already looking very quiet in T3:

Syd International on 5.4.2021 taken when we were flying to NLK. Only 16 departures the WHOLE day. Everything closed apart from 2 DF shops and one small Cafe selling coffee only. All lounges closed including QF F lounge

I wish I took more photos during the last year. It was weird seeing what is normally a very hectic place be so quiet.
