Thai is getting the first of six A380s this week, AusBT is in Toulouse for the media event and the 'delivery flight' from Toulouse back to Bangkok and has a photo gallery of the new plane.

First class looks as swish as you'd expect. Business config makes sense, staggered 1-2-1, but still looks a bit cramped, maybe it's just the way the seats are in 'cubicles' of sorts and all close together. Economy, no thanks, the whole bottom deck is economy, although there's a little economy section at the rear of the upper deck.

Sydney flights start September 2013.

Thai's A380 F looks very similar to Singapore Airlines A380 J. Must be hard to keep up with the Joneses these days...

Im in Bangkok right now and at their flagship department store Siam Paragon theres a whole fanfare display event promoting TG's latest toy. There are mock cabin setups and the F suite looks great. The seat is wide enough and airy, it is a huge improvement to the current F seat !!

SQ J is amazing but I think they've recognised that they've made it too close to F to the point it cannabilizes their F market

Odd that they're not jumping on the PE bandwagon. The Y seats looks pretty ordinary, and I'd be surprised if the J seats were comfortable for anyone over about 5'11.
