Transitting from perth domestic to international tomorrow am. I have 2 hours between landing and departure. I understand the terminals are not connected except by road. There is a bus but does it only leave once an hour!!!??? Am I doomed to a cab ? will they be pissed at such a short fare?

Its quite a way (forget how far) so the cabbie will do well out you!

You'll be fine - presume it is all on one reservation so it is the airline's issue, not yours.

if its a Qantas connection and on a single reservation, they will actually be expecting you at the bus. The bus is timed to meet QF arriving domestic flights and they wait until all expected passengers arrive at the bus.

The bus uses the airport perimeter road to go between the terminals and is a lot shorter journey than a taxi will take using regular public roads. As others have noted, its a long drive between terminals when using public roads - probably a similar taxi fare as driving to the CBD (well, almost).

Thanks for the prompt responses. Sorry for posting in the wrong spot

Taxi will cost around $20-$25 depending on the time of day and traffic.

The mini bus usually runs every 20 minutes or so but sometimes can be delayed and in my experience does not meet every arriving QF flight. I once waited ~30 minutes and the bus was nowhere to be seen. It was now touch and go whether I would make the international flight. I went back inside and made more inquiries and I was told to go back to the end of the terminal and there is a phone on the wall before exiting the terminal. I called and the bus driver was still at the international terminal and was on his way.

The bus driver did everything possible to get me there, including speeding, as I was the only passenger at the time, phoned QF that we were on our way, took me directly around to the closest point to the termina not the usual pick up/drop off point and ran up the stairs with me and I was finally on my way through security and immigration.

You wouldn't believe but after all of that running around the flight was delayed.
