Thanks everyone for the help. Please excuse my multiple questions. I am sure i will still have plenty more before i end up booking.

I still think Scoot is the way to go - flew down on them from Singapore in June in economy, all good and Scootbiz for that period of time with a bub will be money well spent. Save the points for a long haul flight in the future.

Are they reliable? or are they the same reason i would never use Tiger in Australia ?

What is Scoot Biz like ? tickets are $399 for Business very cheap.

Not using the lounge would annoy me... I wish there was qantas people you could walk into .Tell them what you want and they work out the best way to do it :/

They are a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, and several AFF members have recommended them to you. Personally, I have not heard of any issues with their reliability. From memory, there has been a review of their ScootBiz cabin on Australian Business Traveller, At least one other LCC, I think one of the Air Asia companies or maybe Jetstar, also have a similar cheaper business seat available. For the 5.5 hours in the air, I would be taking one of the cheaper biz options than crammed into a 737.

The business class on the 737 is average compared to Virgin.

QF fly a mixture of the 737 and 330 on the PER-MEL route, as do VA. So in that sense you have the same issue on VA as what you do on QF with regards to the 737.

I would suggest that it isn't the correct seat map, as QF seem to be using the 12J 156Y configuration currently.

Thanks , makes me feel a bit better haha. Also a friend said VA seems to accrue points slower than QA. Anywho I won't change the subject, that's for another thread

only difference with that seating plan is an extra row at the back is that right ?
