Perth Airport - vision for the future

Perth Airport have released a new video about the upgrades and development at the airport. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVEFz_073Uw). Quite funny really. I cant quite see the light rail suspended at second floor level. One thing that they did get right was a lack of QF birds at the international pier.

Hope they haven't employed all those 'artists concept' muppets who draw all those futuristic planes that never come to fruition...

i thought i was watching an episode of ABCs Utopia , which is closer to reality than it should be:shock:. Australia is full of 'visions for the future', but somewhere along the line, they go 'blind'.

It looks amazing, whether that will all come off though, especially now the mining boom has ended, who knows.

Really a great idea of taking extending the train out to Forrestfield, i can see the following happening

(a) international visitors ending up in Forrestfield
(b) Forrestfield people having day trips to the airport

FYI Forrestfield is a high crime rate suburb
