Had taken a sentinel membership which came with Velocity Gold/Platinum status. Found out that they would charge me the membership fee (only 1 year valid). Even re-qualification Gold or reaching Platinum won't change that. The offer for sentinel is therefore more "like a try before you buy" opportunity instead of a real perk. I expected that if you acquire a higher level or maintain your current level the membership would stay complementary.
You are responsible for cancelling in time to avoid being charged. This can only be done via the phone.

How are they billing you? When mine ran out, they rung me in a bid to get me to buy, but they didn't try an auto swipe of a CC......(I'm not even sure I ever gave them a CC number).

BTW, the same applies for all the VA elite offers. Once your first year "sample" at a tier is expended, you have to earn your keep.

They had my credit card details - I guess this was part of the registration process.
I cancelled today.

Now I know why they tried to call me SO many times. The card I used to sign up had been cancelled so they couldn't charge me.

I'm plat and I got email saying its " automatically been renewed" given they don't know my cc information, I assume another comped yet. Same with myveda.

Check your CC then. I got the VERY hard sell from Secure Sentinel when mine expired. They called and left a few messages (from a number) so I then ignored any calls from them. After 15-20 call attempts I answered. When I cut them off mid blurb and said "thanks but no thanks please do not renew, cancel my service and do not call me again" I got the hard sell of 'oh but you won't be covered! Why cancel? We are so awesome!'. They would not accept the 'thanks but no thanks' line. Shocking service, would never use them again based on that call (I'll pay for my credit file if I need a copy).
