PER to finally get a QF J Domestic Lounge

Anyone going by the terminal who can see where the construction has started and therefore where the lounge will be within T4?

A better question at PER right now is "Where is construction NOT currently underway?".

This is great news :) Coupled with the new J seats it will make QF pretty difficult to beat for the trans-cons from now on :D

From a preliminary review of what has been released to date, the new VA 332 J seats look like they will be better than the new QF 332/333 J seats.

Also, having frequented both the standard QP and the Dom J lounges in BNE yesterday, the only real difference between the two was the location. Available food was exactly the same in both and there was actually far more free space in the standard QP (which is why I left the J lounge and sat in the QP instead).

I agree the BNE J Lounge is shocking and the only difference other than location is the wines are better in the J lounge

I don't agree, I think the new seats in both are reasonably comparable for what I'm looking for.
The clincher for me will be being able to bypass the VA lounge in PER which is abysmal IMO. A QF J lounge can't come soon enough.

Totally agree about the BNE J Lounge , it's a sub par experience at the best of times and the regular QP is a significantly nicer space.

I must be the only one that enjoys the BNE J lounge... I also find food to be different usually, better, but you get less choice on weekends anyway.

Some good news for us PER QF customers at last. Now all I have to do is retain WP so I can make use of it!

About time.
This would have been added incentive to hit WP with QF, but that really isn't an option anymore ( I fly international mainly), so I'll just have to try to get to OWE with BA to get in here when flying whY!

In between T3 and T4

I'm pretty sure the BNE lounges are being upgraded..... or am I getting confused with the international terminal?!?!?

The BNE lounge is supposed to be upgraded but not sure of the timeline nor location.

I'm joining the love BNE J lounge club with you samh04 - I love how intimate it feels and esp if you can get a seat along the windows.

Great news.

Pity I retire soon and cant fly international from PER. Difficult to maintain WP in the years to come.

I'll have to convince Mrs Swilk of the need to rest my weary bones in the new J seats!

It should come around the same time as VA move their T3 services over to their brand spanking new, purpose built T1 facilities - including a new lounge and VA's next generation check-in. All located on the state of the art VA "precinct" (T1 & T2) side of Perth Airport, home to all Virgin subsidiary and partner airline operations, including; mainline, regional, LCC and international. (Which is presumably why QF is being pressured into doing "something" at PER.)

Great news and this keeps QF one step above VA

At least I can thank VA for raising the service level otherwise we'd be stuck on QF 737's or A330's with 2-3-2 J (PE) seating and no J lounge

Maybe we might get back a QFi service at some point in the future if Perth is such a focus...
