Just received an email from Jetstar a few days ago advising that there was a change in my flights PER-SIN on 3K, logged on hesitantly hoping that it wouldn't be a major change and was surprised that it was just replaced with a JQ flight, with the same exactly timing and subject to government approval.

Anyone has any idea why Jetstar would switch a lower cost base of 3K with a higher JQ cost base? The flight change from 3K132 to JQ122

If the flight times remain the same, and assuming 3K131/JQ121(?) hasn't changed either, the aircraft would still be coming from SIN. GDS doesn't seem to be updated though. I guess the costs would remain the same since it's essentially a SIN-based aircraft, but pax will have to pay more for the AU-inflight-menu vs the SG one. And just to add, JQ already operates PER-DPS-SIN.
